Gearbox Surprises No One, Drops Two Borderlands Games on Next Gen

Gearbox today announced it made the most logical move it could and is releasing two Borderlands games on next-gen consoles.

Called Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, the pack will contain both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: the Pre-Sequel! along with seemingly all current and future DLC (For a full list, check out this post on the Official PlayStation Blog). Also included is the ability to carry over your saves from the last-gen version, provided it’s in the same console family. The game is scheduled for release on March 24th.

My Thoughts: I’m actually quite stunned that Gearbox and 2K opted not to include the original Borderlands. They probably either decided it wasn’t worth the effort, or may be planning to release it digitally later. Also, there’s no word on if there will be a PC version, which is kind of a let down. If anything changes, we’ll keep you posted.
